We built it. We can build yours.

Stock systems, back offices and apps that take over a job someone is doing by hand. Built around how your business actually runs, and connected to the tools you already use.

KernoERP, our own stock system
KStock and forecastDemo data

Reorder 260 from Ketterby Ceramics this week to avoid a stockout.

When you need a system, not another tool

The spreadsheet is the system
One person knows how it works, it breaks when two people edit it, and nobody trusts the numbers.
The same thing typed twice
Orders, jobs and invoices re-keyed from one tool into another, with a mistake every so often.
Off-the-shelf almost fits
The software does 80% of the job. The other 20% is still done by hand, every day.

Systems we run

Each one replaced a job someone was doing by hand, and every one runs for a real business.

Our own product, running online shops in the UK and the US

KernoERP

The problem: Stock spread across Shopify, Amazon, wholesale and a warehouse portal, with reorders worked out in a spreadsheet.

One stock figure across every channel. It forecasts sales, drafts purchase orders when cover drops below the supplier's lead time, and answers questions about stock in plain English.

  1. Orders in
  2. Forecast
  3. Order drafted
  4. Shipped
  5. Booked in

Real shops run their stock, purchasing and shipping on it every day.

Running for a London home-installation business

An installer's back office

The problem: Every website enquiry had to become a job without anyone re-typing it, and every referral had to be checked before anyone was paid.

A booking on the website becomes a job in their job-management system, with the team told. Their referral scheme, launching soon, checks each referral against a paid invoice overnight and emails the rewards to approve each morning.

  1. Booking form
  2. Job created
  3. Team alerted
  4. Night check
  5. Morning email

Their site scores 99, 100, 100 and 100 on Google's mobile PageSpeed test.

Built for a training and education company

A course answer checker

The problem: Every student's long worked answers were checked by hand against flowcharts and reference material. A cohort took six people two months.

It works out each correct answer from the student's own inputs, compares the two step by step, and writes the support team a ticket saying exactly where the student went wrong. A person still replies, in under five minutes.

  1. Student submits
  2. Answers worked out
  3. Compared line by line
  4. Ticket written
  5. A person replies

Checking a cohort used to take six people two months. Each reply now takes under five minutes.

How a build runs

From your words to working software. Watch an example go through.

  1. 1

    You tell us the problem

In your own words. No brief, no spec. We ask how the work happens today and where it goes wrong.

  2. 2

We write what it has to do

A short list of what the system must do, in plain English, for you to agree before anything is built.

  3. 3

    We map the flow

Every step from the trigger to the result, including who checks what and what happens when something fails.

  4. 4

We sketch it, then build it

You see the screens as sketches first, then working software on your real data, one piece at a time.

Questions we get asked

Do we have to replace the tools we already use?

Usually not. Most builds connect what you already have, such as Shopify, Amazon, your job system, your accounts or a spreadsheet, and add only the missing part.

Is it AI?

Where AI is the right tool, yes: reading enquiries, answering questions about your data, drafting replies. Where a rule will do, we use a rule. The course checker uses no AI at all, because every answer has to be exactly right.

Where do we start?

With the one job that costs you the most time or money. We build that first, you use it, and we decide together what comes next.

Got a job that's still done by hand?

Tell us what it is in a sentence. We'll tell you what we'd build, and what it would replace.

Tell us what you need

Tell us what's going wrong

One sentence is plenty. We'll match it to things we've built and show you how we'd help, in under a minute.
