New products chosen on evidence, not on a hunch.
A new product ties up cash in stock before it sells a single unit. We check the demand, find and vet suppliers, and plan the launch, so the money goes into products people are already looking for.

Product from our Skerrin demo shop. The checklist is the one we work through on every new listing.
Who this is for
Adding to a range you already sell and launching a first own-brand product share most of the work. The risks are different, so we treat them separately.

Brands extending a range
You have customers and sales data. The next product should build on both.
- Ideas drawn from reviews, returns and customer questions
- Variants, bundles and accessories for best sellers
- Margin modelling before you order samples
- Launch to your existing customers and email list

Sellers launching an own-brand product
Moving from reselling to your own brand, on your own site, on Amazon or both.
- Demand and competition checks before you commit
- Supplier search, samples and quality checks
- Packaging, barcodes and compliance basics
- Listings, photography briefs and a launch plan
What we actually do
- Research that starts with customers
- Reviews of your products and your competitors', search data and marketplace sales estimates show what people want and what annoys them about what already exists. The gaps are where new products come from.
- Validate before you buy stock
- We model landed cost, fees, margin and likely sales, and test demand where we can with pre-orders, waiting lists or a small first run. If the numbers do not work we say so before you pay for samples.
- Sourcing and samples
- We find and vet suppliers, compare quotes, order and review samples, and agree the specification in writing so the production run matches the sample you approved.
- Listings ready for launch
- Titles, descriptions, images and keywords written for the channel you sell on, with photography briefs and the questions buyers will ask answered on the page.
- Launch and review
- A launch plan covering stock, pricing, ads and email, then a review after the first months to decide whether to reorder, change or drop the product.
How an engagement runs
Research
Two to three weeks. Customer and competitor research, ending in a shortlist of ideas with demand and margin estimates.
Validate
Detailed costings for the strongest ideas and, where possible, a demand test before any stock is bought.
Source
Supplier search, quotes, samples and a written specification. You approve the final sample and the order quantity.

- Costing and margin model for each shortlisted product
- Supplier shortlist with quotes and sample reviews
- Written product specification
- Listing copy, keywords and photography brief
- Launch plan covering stock, pricing, ads and email
- Post-launch review and reorder recommendation
We have developed new products for clients from their own customer feedback. Client names are withheld under NDA, and we will walk through examples on a call.
How the return works
A new product is a stock investment. The return depends on margin, how fast it sells, and how much you avoid spending on products that would not have sold.
Say a new product costs £8 to land and sells at £30. After marketplace or payment fees, delivery and a share of ad spend, perhaps £10 a unit is left. Selling 300 a month makes £3,000 a month in margin from one product line.
The other side is the stock you do not buy. A first order of 1,000 units at £8 is £8,000 of cash. Checking demand first, and dropping the idea if it fails the test, keeps that cash for a product that will sell.
A product built on what existing customers ask for starts with a ready audience: the people who asked for it. That lowers the cost of the launch compared with finding every buyer from scratch.
Worked examples with assumed figures, for illustration. We build the costing from real supplier quotes and your own fees before you place an order.
Questions we get asked
Do you design the product?
We handle research, specification, sourcing and launch. For products that need industrial or packaging design, we write the brief and work alongside your designer. The designs and files are yours.
Where do you source from?
Wherever suits the product, quantity and price: UK and European makers for smaller runs and faster delivery, or overseas manufacturers for larger volumes. We compare options on landed cost and lead time, not unit price alone.
What if the research says the idea will not work?
Then we tell you, with the reasons, before you spend on samples or stock. A product we talk you out of is still a good result.
Can you launch it on Amazon as well as our own site?
Yes. We write listings for each channel and can help with Brand Registry and launch advertising on Amazon. Our Amazon consulting page covers that side of the work.
How much stock should we order first?
Enough to learn from, not enough to sink you. We set the first order from the demand estimate, the supplier's minimum order and your cash, and plan the reorder point before launch.
Test your product idea before you buy stock.
