Happy customers send their friends. The checking happens while you sleep.
Your best customers already recommend you. A referral scheme makes it easy for them, tracks every friend to a paid job, and checks each one overnight, so you only reward the referrals that really brought you work.

Who this is for
Word of mouth is the cheapest work most businesses get, and the least measured. A good scheme turns it into something you can see, thank people for, and grow.

Trades and local services
A link or QR code from the engineer after a job well done, rewarded when the friend's invoice is paid.
- The engineer makes a customer's link in one tap on their phone
- Friends book through a page that names who sent them
- Bookings tagged as referrals in your job system
- Rewards only once the friend's invoice is paid and past the refund window

Online shops
A share link after a second order, with the reward released once the friend's order is kept.
- A personal link in the post-purchase email
- Friends land on a page with the offer already applied
- Rewards held until the return window closes
- Repeat customers and self-referrals filtered out
What we actually do
- Set fair rules
- Who can refer, what counts as a referral, the reward for each job size, a yearly cap, and the terms in plain English.
- Make sharing easy
- A short code and QR code for each customer, a page they can share by WhatsApp or text, and a preview card that names them to their friends.
- Track to the paid job
- The referral is remembered when the friend books, and follows the job through to a paid invoice in your job system or store.
- Check every night
- Same phone, email or address as the referrer, an existing customer, a refund, or the cap reached: each one is caught and given a reason, with nobody chasing spreadsheets.
- A person pays out
- A morning email lists the referrals ready to approve. You send the reward and mark it paid. Rewards never depend on a review.
How an engagement runs
Agree the rules
Rewards, thresholds, the cap and the terms, written with you.
Connect your systems
Your booking form or store, and your job system or orders, so a referral can be followed to a payment.
Test with real staff
Engineers or staff try the links on their own phones before customers see them.
Launch and report
Codes issued, scans, bookings, rewards paid and rejections by reason, reviewed with you monthly.

We built and tested this scheme for a London home-installation business in October 2026. It hasn't launched yet, so we don't have results to share. We'll add them here when we do.
How the return works
A referred customer costs you a reward rather than an ad click, and they arrive already trusting you. The overnight check stops the scheme paying for work it didn't bring.
Say a heating business finishes 60 paid jobs a month, and 1 customer in 30 sends a friend who books and pays. That is 2 extra jobs a month.
At an average job of £240, those 2 jobs are worth £480. Two £20 gift cards for each pair cost £80, which leaves £400 a month before the cost of doing the work.
Rejected referrals cost nothing: same-address, existing-customer and refunded jobs are caught before anyone is paid.
A worked example with assumed figures, for illustration. Referral rates vary a lot by trade and by how often you ask.
Questions we get asked
Is it fair to customers?
Yes. The rules are short and shown on the share page. Both people get the same reward, there's a yearly cap per referrer, and nothing is tied to leaving a review.
How does it stop people gaming it?
Every night it checks each waiting referral against your job system: the same phone, email or address as the referrer, someone who was already a customer, a refund, or the yearly cap. Each rejection is given a reason you can read.
What does the referrer's friend see?
A page from your business saying who sent them and what the offer is, then your normal booking form. Their booking is tagged as a referral automatically.
Do rewards go out automatically?
No, by design. The scheme tells you when a reward is due. You send it and mark it paid, so money never leaves without a person seeing it.
Does it work for phone bookings?
Yes. Staff can attach a referral code to a booking taken by phone, and the overnight check treats it the same way.
